Since I have been gone for so long, I thought I might give you a quick update in our lives!

We have now been living in Oklahoma for 8 months.  It has gone by so fast (despite the constant yearning in my soul to go back to Huntington Beach and California) and we have been so busy!  We are back at our church LifeChurch.tv and working rather often on a fill-in basis.  It seems like almost every week and lots of Wednesdays too!  Since moving back we have been blessed to play and visit 7 different campuses and hopefully will add a couple more in the next few months!

Being unemployed was definitely not my plan.  Like…well…everyone I would have dodged that for sure, but the Big Man Upstairs had something else in mind.  It has been restful, playful, and enjoyable!  I have gotten to stay home and take care of my wife who is pregnant with 2.0 and due in just about a month.  I have gotten to roll around on the ground, climb slides, swim for hours and have living room picnics with my amazing little girl.  It has been absolutely wonderful.

There are plenty of reasons I have neglected this site, but none more important that spending tons of time with my family.  It’s not the life I would have picked for us if you had asked me 9 months ago, but it’s definitely been a huge blessing and an absolute blast!  So what’s next?  Beats me!  Vacation to start August, 2.0 arriving in 5 weeks, lots of family, a little more church and then…???  I guess we will see what God has planned for this soon to be family of 4!

Well that’s gonna have to be all for now.  Gotta go change a poopy diaper and keep a toddler from waking up preggo!

Wow.  It has been a crazy couple weeks!  We left the beach and moved 1400 miles east back to the heartland.  The boxes have all been moved in and most of them are opened or packed away.  There is floor space in the living room, bedroom and closet!  The dog and baby are adjusting very well and having a blast.  I had a huge opportunity to lead at the biggest campus of LifeChurch.tv and had an amazing weekend.  And to top it off, I get to lead for LifeChurch.tv for the next two weekends as well!

I have come to realize that it is quite difficult to blog while moving.  So I know it has been a while, but God is up to some amazing things!  If you don’t mind saying a prayer for our family we would really appreciate it!  More to come soon and I will get back to the normal blogging very soon!

That’s right!  I’m not dead!  Just in case you were wondering because you haven’t heard from me in a while, I’m alive and well.  It’s been pretty crazy for the past several days and I’m pretty sure it will be for a few more.  Very soon I will get back to the norm here.  So until then, here’s a little update in my little world.

• After just under 1400 miles we arrived in Oklahoma with a truckload of junk!  It only took me 19 1/2 hours to drive it.
• I found out that the term highway robbery was coined from a gas station in Fenner, CA.  (I’m serious.  Go get your dictionary or encyclopedia Britannica and look it up!)
• Eating a bag of sunflower seeds as quickly as possible will most likely make the inside of your mouth raw.  You will love it and regret it.
• The governor on the Budget truck is set at 90 mph.
• Driving Route 66 is really not that much more exciting than Route 65 or 67.
• After 2 days of driving and several hardcore days of packing prior to that, when we arrived we unloaded the entire truck.  It doesn’t have to be turned in for 3 more days.
• I miss my town.
• I’m leading the music at the LifeChurch.tv OKC campus this weekend.  I can’t wait!  It will be so much fun!
• I’m leading the music at the LifeChurch.tv OWS campus next weekend.  Setup and teardown!  What up!
• My dog is snoring rather loudly.
• My daughter is competing with him through the baby monitor.

So last week I started telling you about some changes that I have been planning on for a while.  For those of you that may have missed it, there has been some things that I have had on my heart for a long time.  I have been chewing on it for a long time but just always put it off as something to maybe do later.  Well, I finally decided that it was time to go for it and I am hoping that God will bless it and use it.

The other side of it was that the domain that I had decided on and was centering everything around was taken.  Someone in New York had taken one of the two best options and someone in Florida had the other.  Huge bummer!  Well, now for the update!  I have emailed back and forth with the guy in Florida and he has decided to let us have the domain!  That is huge!  I don’t have to come up with a whole new idea!

So now I wanna ask a favor from you all.  I know I haven’t told you much about what is to come, but I am really excited about it.  I know you don’t have details and I know that we don’t know this guy with the domain, but I wanna ask all of you to join in with me in praying for what is to come and that God will use it in ways that make my dreams for it look weak!  Also, pray that the guy in Florida would be blessed for being so gracious and willing!  Thank you all so much!  I can’t wait to unveil the thoughts and ideas for it all!

We are getting ever closer to this baby arriving.  As of last night we were having lots of contractions with some really good ones thrown in there too, but they just aren’t quite close enough together.  We could be in the labor and delivery room at any point!  As of now we are working on convincing our little one that it is time to come on out so we can get this going.

But she hasn’t decided she is quite ready yet.  So we play the waiting game.  Our hospital bags are backed and ready to go.  The playlist has been made.  The dog is prepared to hold the fort down.  24 has already been watched.  I sleep while she can’t (sorry, baby).  And we wait.  So if you are bored, keep us in your prayers!

I wanted to thank all of you who took a minute or two out of your day to pray for the little guy over the last two days.  I really appreciate it and I know his family does too!  I also wanted to give you a brief update on him as well.

Thanks for bearing with me through the vagueness of the last post, but I believe I can give you a little more information now.  My cousin Jenny Leboffe, her husband Nate and their daughter Selah are anxiously awaiting their second child Little Man Leboffe.  After an ultrasound they were given some pretty rough news about the baby’s heart.  It was looking like heart surgery would be almost a sure thing prior to age two.  But, as it seems many times (but never with you, dad), the doctors were uninformative and so Nate and Jenny were basically left in the dark.  After a great appointment today and a long ultrasound the doctor informed them that Little Man’s heart is fine and he is fine!  So, now our little girl will be looking forward to meeting her cousin Little Man Leboffe next time we head down to San Dieg0!

Wednesday is almost here!  For those of you that have no idea, I am about to grace the network of ABC with my wondrous performance on Wipeout!  We are all very excited (mostly because I’m going to make an idiot of myself on national television) because the episode is finally airing this week!  So if you don’t already have plans to watch the show, you should definitely make sure you get in front of the tube to see me take a few spills.  Unfortunately I am not allowed to tell you how it ends so you will have to watch for yourself.  But, just in case you just can’t wait any longer, here is a preview of the episode for this week.  I am actually in it twice!  Let’s play Where’s Waldo.  Can you find me??

Well for those of you that are still looking forward to me making a fool of myself of national television, I have an update for you about Wipeout.  Originally the show was supposed to air on Wednesday July 8th.  Recently the ABC producers found out that the 8th is my wife’s birthday so they decided to change the air date of my episode so that I could take her out instead of sit around and watch TV.

So!  Now the official air date is Wednesday July 1st!  So miss it, and if it is any good, I will tell you and maybe you can watch it online.  Take your pick.  Watch it or don’t.  Whatever you wanna do.  Just wanted you all to be informed so that you can’t ever blame me for not telling you!  Enjoy!…just don’t expect me personally to be funny.  That’s just not my style of funny.  Although I did wipeout a lot.

So, I just talked with the Associate Producer for Wipeout.  They are almost done shooting for this season, but they are shooting tomorrow.  He said if they don’t use me this season, then they will next.  So that’s good.  But, they are shooting tomorrow and they need me to be an alternate.  So, the time may be here!  Only problem is that I have to be there at 6 AM!  WHAT????  I didn’t know there was a 6 AM!  Crap.  Oh, and it is forever away from me so I will have to get up at like 4.  Good grief.  I better get on tomorrow!

Anyone got any pointers for me?  One liners?  Ideas in general?  Bring ‘em on!
